about ME

Hi!
My name is meredith, but you can call me mimi. I was born in America and raised there, but now I live in London. Life has changed a lot. Here are the changes:
second grade is called year 3.
dollars are called pounds.
the children work a year ahead.
the teachers are very strict.
the accents here sound to me like they are singing.
Lots of people don't have cars. Most people just walk places or ride a bike or a bus or a train.
On a bike, people have a child on the front or on the back or in a box.
Our church building looks like a Temple to me.
They have Kings and Queens who live in Palaces.
They don't have cornbread or mac and cheese here.
They call fries chips. And chips are crisps.
Most people live in flats which are apartments and not houses.

My favorite thing about living in London is, my friends here are really nice to me and care a lot. My best friend's are Sefora, Luwam, Hollie, Sumaira, Wasima and Kahella.
Every monday we walk to a swimming pool with my class and swim. My mom walks with us.
I like living in London because we are close to lots of cool places like Italy and France.
Italy is my favorite.
I also like it when my family comes to visit from America.
Often we surprise each other with visits.
They surprise us and we surprise them too.

Thanks for reading my blog!
Bye.
